CARL MONDAY, VETERAN CHANNEL 19 ACTION NEWS INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER, IS IN BED WITH CITY HALL. HE WILL NOT INVESTIGATE IRREGULARITIES IN THE $50 MILLION JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT!

HALL OF SHAME SERIES #5

A WEEK AGO -- ON MONDAY 12-10-12, THE LAST DAY OF THE 3-WEEK LONG HUNGER STRIKE, I PICKED UP THE COURAGE TO TAKE A TRIP DOWNTOWN.

I TOOK THE BUS – AND ONCE I WAS DOWNTOWN – I WALKED GINGERLY TO CONSERVE MY ENERGY.

I DEMONSTRATED FOR A SHORT WHILE OUTSIDE THE CHANNEL 19 ACTION NEWS STATION. AFTER I GOT A FEW PICTURES TAKEN, I WENT INSIDE AND REQUESTED ENTRY. I TOLD THE RECEPTIONIST THAT I HAD A LETTER FOR CARL MONDAY – THEIR INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER.

THE RECEPTIONIST SAID TO LEAVE IT IN THE TRAY – WHICH I DID – AND THAT IT WOULD BE DELIVERED TO MR. MONDAY.

WHEN I RETURNED HOME, LATER IN THE EVENING – I ALSO FORWARDED THE LETTER VIA E-MAIL TO MR. MONDAY.

MR. MONDAY, LIKE OTHER LOCAL TV STATION NETWORK REPORTERS HAS BEEN COPIED ON ALL THE OVER 400 PAGES OF CORRESPONDENCE SENT TO CITY HALL RE. THE SAVE JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT -- THE IRREGULARITIES COMMITED BY CITY HALL -- COLLUSIVE INACTION, VOTE RIGGING, AND DENIAL OF DUE PROCESS -- AND THE DAILY REPORTS ABOUT THE 3-WEEK LONG HUNGER STRIKE.

THERE HAVE BEEN MANY DEMONSTRATIONS OUSTIDE CHANNEL 19 TV STATION.

SO FAR THERE HAS BEEN ZERO RESPONSE FROM ALL THE FOUR TV STATIONS TO THE INJUSTICE METED TO OVER 2,400 PETITIONERS IN THE SAVE JOHN MARSHALL CAMPAIGN.

ZERO COVERAGE OF HUNGER STRIKE BY CLEVLAND’S TV STATIONS:
INDIAN ETV TELEVISION NETWORK WHICH COVERED THE HUNGER STRIKE SIX TIMES DURING THE THREE WEEK PERIOD PUT THE CLEVELAND, OHIO BROADCAST MEDIA – CHANNELS 3(NBC), 5(ABC), 8(FOX), AND 19(CBS) TO SHAME ON ZERO COVERAGE OF THE HUNGER STRIKE!

ON 12-11-12, AFTER ANNOUNCING THE END OF THE THREE-WEEK LONG HUNGER STRIKE, ETV TELEVISION NETWORK QUOTED MR. PURI STATING THAT BOTH  MAYOR JACKSON AND THE CLEVELAND MEDIA WERE CORRUPT IN FACILITATING THE DESTRUCTION OF HISTORIC 80-YEAR OLD JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL!

AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE HUNGER STRIKE, I WROTE ON MY REALNEO BLOG:

“70-YEAR OLD SIKH-AMERICAN’S FIGHT TO SAVE HISTORIC 80-YEAR OLD JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL IN CLEVELAND, OHIO FROM DESTRUCTION FACILITATED BY A 100% CORRUPT POLITICAL SYSTEM IN CLEVELAND OHIO LED BY PHILISTINES AND DISHONEST POLITICIANS -- MAYOR JACKSON & COUNCILMAN SWEENEY -- WHERE THE MEDIA IS IN BED WITH CITY HALL -- WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL.”

“I WAS UNABLE TO OVERCOME THE 100% CORRUPT POLITICAL SYSTEM IN CLEVELAND, OHIO – LED BY PHILISTINES AND DISHONEST POLITICIANS – MAYOR JACKSON AND COUNCILMAN SWEENEY AND WHICH IS AIDED AND ABETTED BY THE MEDIA – THE PLAIN DEALER AND CHANNELS 3(NBC), 5(ABC), 8(FOX), AND 19(CBS) – WHO ARE IN BED WITH CITY HALL AND WHERE THE SEWER FLOWS FROM CITY HALL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BELLAIRE PURITAS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION – AND ENGULFS EVERY ONE OF MAYOR JACKSON’S AND COUNCILMAN SWEENEY’S CRONIES, GOONS, AIDES, AND ABETTERS -- WHO WALLOW IN THE MUCK!”

THE HUNGER STRIKE WAS A CRY FOR JUSTICE – WHICH TO THIS DAY HAS NOT BEEN SERVED. THE PLAIN DEALER AND THE BROADCAST MEDIA IN CLEVELAND – CHANNELS: 3(NBC), 5(ABC), 8(FOX), AND 19(CBS) COMPLETELY IGNORED INVESTIGATION OF CITY HALL’S COLLUSIVE INACTION, VOTE RIGGING AND DENIAL OF DUE PROCESS TO OVER 2,400 PETITIONERS WHO WANTED TO RENOVATE HISTORIC JOHN MARSHALL HIGH!

HERE IS THE LETTER WRITTEN TO MR. MONDAY – WHICH WAS HAND-DELIVERED ON 12-10-12 AND LATER IN THE EVENING, ALSO  FORWARDED TO MR. MONDAY VIA E-MAIL:

December 10, 2012

To: Carl Monday, Investigative Reporter, Channel 19 Action News

Subject: Hunger Strike to SAVE JOHN MARSHALL

Dear Mr. Monday:

Today is the 21st day of the hunger strike.

The underlying issues that prompted the hunger strike: gross irregularities committed by City Hall – collusive inaction, vote rigging, and denial of due process – remain un-addressed.

The Plain Dealer is not responding to our call for “Investigate City Hall” despite two requests submitted via e-mail to Mr. Egger – President and Publisher.

Today, I was demonstrating outside Channel 19 for a short while – considering I have limited energy – I have lost 20 pounds so far – and dropped in to leave this message.

A hunger strike is a cry for Justice when due process has been denied to citizens who have neither power nor wealth.

You are on our mailing list and have been copied on all correspondence.

I have demonstrated many times before in front of your station.

I have attached a flyer re. the hunger strike. I will appreciate hearing from you.

Best regards.

CHANNEL 19 ACTION NEWS!

CHANNEL 19 ACTION NEWS! HONEST! FAIR! EVERY WHERE! EXCEPT CHALLENGING CITY HALL ON THE GROSS IRREGULARITIES COMMITTED ON THE $50 MILLION JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT -- COLLUSIVE INACTION, VOTE RIGGING, AND DENIAL OF DUE PROCESS! PROVIDED ZERO COVERAGE TO 3-WEEK LONG HUNGER STRIKE TO SAVE HISTORIC 80-YEAR OLD JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL. AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF AMERICAN DEMOCRACY AND INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING -- CLEVELAND STYLE!

Selling Browns tickets and Goodyear tires - Channel 19

these corporate folks can't be connected to wing nut stuff - they have to sell commercial waste land stuff....or, like Advance Publications, they will have to lay off half their staff now, and the other half at the end of the unitron contract.

think I'm kidding?

19

When's the contract up?

Banging on the Media Door - all is silent

It takes a tremendous amount of BALLs to do what Mr. Puri has done with John Marshall.

Mr. Puri does not give a damn about public opinion of himself - he has an issue, a cause and wants that cause reviewed and publicized.

Who of you in the Realneo audience have done what Mr. Puri has done?  Gone all out publicly 100% + another 100% publicly  to try to persuade?

Risked making an ass of yourself  because you felt so stongly wronged?  That the truth was being pushed under the rug? (cleve - of course it is)

Very few in this realneo audience, and many fewer in the overall media audience have every fought this energetically.

The receptionist says:

The FKING "put your name in the ashtray and maybe mr MONDAY will deign to respond!

Whoa!  I have been right there and it makes you go balllllistic!

FUPMoonday! ####

Stuupid nEWS papers, stupid TV stations, you are taking ads in order to discuss what is killing the community?

Stupid.

So the Cleveland commercial media continues to go into irrelevance, and that doesn't really matter to Satinder.

Satinder, You have BALLS!

(and you are right on the issues, and right about the popular community view)

Jeff

Ch 19 lost its umph when it learned to play politics..toxic news

Always Appreciative, "ANGELnWard14"

Grateful for the coverage

I am grateful for the coverage last night though I am afraid that this further stigmatizes Brooklyn Centre.  The City of Cleveland is obviously confident that they can tap into Brownfield monies through the state to remediate the site.  I hope that this is true.  I think the little dog and pony show last night helps their case.

So, while residents may get their park cleaned up to some standard--the fact remains, that residents at Foster Pointe will not get justice. I suspect the fumes and smells that they are complaining about there are sewer gas due to the fact that the tie-in to the antiquated main should never have been allowed in the first place.  The residents are moving out. This is still an option, for some.

Brian slinked out last night as he should--he can make this right by residents by committing to help save services in our neighborhood like ALDIs and using the HUD monies committed to Wirth House to build the neighborhood as a destination that taps into the Metropark Zoo and our history.  As folks saw last night-we have good people here.  It's time to make it right by us and to stop serving his carpetbagger predecessors.

Municipal dumps outgassing - Parks & Public Housing on Dumps

Time vs memory: every dump becomes a school, a park, or public housing - or in the case of City View, a mall for a short time.

Only the municipality employees - that's us taxpayers -  fail to do due diligence.

The money goes to the developer and the contractors.   The dumbo taxpayers  - that's us taxpayers - get the corpse - and the bills.

Foster Pointe ( I like the "e" at the end of POINT "E") residents - were they like the birds in the pet store at City View?

Those birds (real story) were dead in the morning, and when the employees at the City View Wall Mart heard about the dead birds day after day, those wise employees began to put 2+7 together....

Did the OHIO environmental folks have to approve the City View Mall on a dump before it got building permits?  Sure.

And permits where issued.

Was NEORSD involved?

Check the license plate in the header.

Foster Pointe

I am not sure that the folks at Foster Pointe can have their situation corrected.  The new building certainly looks good--it's a shame that the construction should never been allowed.  The fault lies with the greedy developer NRP, and the City of Cleveland, the councilman, his assistant and the predecessors who pushed the environmental disaster.  An attorney approached me after the meeting.  The folks who live near the park may not have a case against the City, but as taxpayers we may have a case against the use of HUD funds to build Foster Pointe.
