Who really cares whether Sweeney took a bribe or not, considering the state of HIS CITY?!?!Submitted by Norm Roulet on Sat, 04/24/2010 - 09:17.
Interesting to see a man who has been responsible for lead poisoning 1,000s of children - 100,000s throughout his "political career" - now "DEFEND" himself about anything, yet here our Cleveland City Council PRESIDENT proclaims "I am not a crook". SO TYPICAL of our incompetent, irresponsible "leaders" to our deathcamp here.

EPA Announces Start of National Lead-Safe Renovation Program to Protect Children and Pregnant WomenSubmitted by Norm Roulet on Fri, 04/23/2010 - 20:41.
Home Depot uses Ohio U.S. Senator George Victor Voinovich in a failed attempt Despite the foolish, incompetent, worst efforts of our disgraceful Republican U.S. Senator from Ohio, Genocidal-George Voinovich, who attempted to derail life-protecting lead poisoning prevention measures for America's children and pregnant women - supposedly as a favor to Home Depot, which we should all now boycott for life - I'm pleased to announce:

Until the late 1970, many pencils were painted with lead. If you are over 40, do you remember chewing pencils as a kid?Submitted by Norm Roulet on Thu, 04/22/2010 - 11:38.
THE TIME IS NOW!!!!!Submitted by Keith Winston on Thu, 04/22/2010 - 11:29.
Today I'm calling on all Preacher's, Deacons, Teachers, Parents, Reps, Dems, Prostitutes, Pimps, Players, Everyone. Listen!!! we must not let our Schools close. Our children are trying their best right there, you see them with their School clothes on going to School, they're trying. We just have to reach out to the ones that need what they never had, and don't know if anyone will ever give it to them. And that is LOVE, LISTENING, AND LEARNING.

Obama... did you chew your pencils growing up? George W? Cheney? Probably lead poisoned!Submitted by Norm Roulet on Thu, 04/22/2010 - 10:06.
I was doing some research on lead paint on toys - still a huge problem in America and world-wide, as the lead industry keeps expanding - and I thought about all the lead American children were exposed to growing up in my generation, and the generations before me, during the foolish industrial era in America. Consider the harm caused to us - older Gen-X, Baby Boomers, down through "The Greatest Generation" - the greatest price for which is still to be paid in healthcare-costs, pain and suffering for industrially-impaired older adults and senior citizens suffering for such socially-irresponsible behavior as chewing their pencils in school, as kids.

See map: Google Maps Artist of the Day: George Vlosich III Sees Planet Earth Through an Etch-a-SketchSubmitted by Norm Roulet on Wed, 04/21/2010 - 15:15.
Etch A Sketch artist, in the beginning: George Vlosich III Throughout my one-year-younger-than-Etch-A-Sketch life, my perceptions of the Earth we live on have changed from a native-born sense of permanence - that my home planet will always be here and the same for all people, forever - to a learned understanding of evolution - recognizing Earth is changing, in natural ways - to a self-taught recognition of ecological devastation - realizing man is harming Earth at an unprecedented pace, beyond all past change-models - to a feared concern Earth is like an Etch-a-Sketch, designed to erase all invasive marks upon it in a sudden cleansing, leaving a fresh canvas, without significant remnants of past artists and their creations.

Today is Equal Pay Day - Women Earn About 77 Cents Per Dollar Earned By MenSubmitted by Norm Roulet on Tue, 04/20/2010 - 09:01.
04/20/2010 - 00:00 04/21/2010 - 00:00 Etc/GMT-4 Dear Norm, I'm wearing red today, because today is Equal Pay Day. This is the day designated each year to mark how far into the year the average woman must work to earn what the average man made the previous year. Women working full-time and year-round currently earn about 77 cents for every dollar earned by men, so today marks the day using 2009 figures that an average woman would finally earn what an average man made in 2009. In Ohio, this pay deficiency ($33,628 per year compared to $45,214) for women and their families in real terms means they could buy food for another two years or pay mortgage and utility payments for nine more months. First nationally available entrée in America to pack more than 3,000 caloriesSubmitted by Norm Roulet on Fri, 04/16/2010 - 01:33.
Tip of the Hat to Steve Cadwell, Director of the American Holisitic Medical Association, for pointing me to a site with the 20 worst restaurant foods in America, which is worth scrolling through to get a sense of the health risks of some typical restaurant foods. Here's a highlight: "We hope the guys at Guinness World Records are paying attention: Outback now holds the dubious distinction of serving the first nationally available entrée in America to pack more than 3,000 calories. Congratulations."
Bloggers for Brunner: Richard T. Andrews Writes "Brunner the Best for Ohio Democrats"Submitted by Norm Roulet on Thu, 04/15/2010 - 13:14.
Richard T. Andrews writes an insightful blog called "The Real Deal", which he describes as "Periodic reporting and commentary from Cleveland Heights OH. Primary interests: Cleveland/NEOhio regional public affairs; African American politics, commerce, culture and society; public education; national and international affairs; Cavaliers∫Browns∫Indians." I receive it by email and suggest everyone on realNEO check it out. I strongly agree with his most recent posting "Brunner the Best for Ohio Democrats" and suggest all Ohio voters read through to his posting, which I introduce below:

Question of the Day: Are you "Roundup Ready" or "a modern day hunter gatherer of healthy food"?Submitted by Norm Roulet on Wed, 04/14/2010 - 17:58.
In reflecting on the future of the food economy in America, one must understand the role of genetically engineered crops, which have blown-apart food economics and ecology in America and increasingly worldwode since their monopoly-mounted introduction 14 short years ago, driven by Monsanto covering the Earth in Roundup, AKA glyphosate.

European Trader in a Hammock, 1800s Living in Cleveland, when I think of businesspeople from Detroit I picture someone very much like the European trader depicted in the African carving above - big-game-trader, big-thinker Dan Gilbert, coming from the West to transform Cleveland through gambling... carried through our streets by our native leaders and their subjects. I expect about as great an outcome for Cleveland as such "Westerner" infestation brought to Africa, looking more like complete annihilation than salvation... except in the art, where change may be beautiful, despite being tragic. I wouldn't go to Detroit or anywhere for a casino, but I am planning to visit the "Motor City" shortly for their museum, to celebrate "Through African Eyes," a major exhibition exploring the European presence in African art that opens April 18 (through August 8, 2010) at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) - the images featured here are from this exhibition. I won't hold Detroit's gambling interests against that city, when their leaders at the DIA have traditionally sought to elevate the community above the annihilation of their local culture.
To collaborate with intellectuals to optimize the value of information technology on Earth for allSubmitted by Norm Roulet on Wed, 04/07/2010 - 13:00.
"Entrepreneurs" do not maintain résumés for employment, but they do need to maintain a running tally about their professional lives, for various purposes... something I refer to as a curriculum vitae (CV). As I'm growing many entrepreneurial initiatives, I'm updating my CV... so I tracked down my latest version, from 2000. Since then, I've launched ICEarth, realNEO, Star Neighborhood Development, 7Gen, and Bigbang Tech, which I must now add to my life-list below... useful information for someone first getting to know me... but is that good enough for Ireland?
