Southern Poverty Law Center's suggestions on how to respond to hate

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 08/22/2017 - 10:51.

What ever we do in life it helps the operation run smoothly if we practice.

Recently the United States has developed - with a green light from POTUS -  a new "tone" - anger, antimosity, bias, venum.    None of these will result in long term positive change.

So back to practice...

The Southern Poverty Law Center has developed a guide book with suggestions on how to respond to hate which you can view here.

Similar Mental illness in the pharmacy line and in the White House?

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Fri, 07/28/2017 - 10:55.

I was running errands earlier this week and I went to a hospital pharmacy to pick up a script for a house bound friend.  There was a long line, I got a phone call, so I sat down on a nearby bench from which I took the photo above.

In the space of about 45 minutes 5 different people who were in the line demonstrated psychotic, disruptive, mentally disturbed behavior.

Cleveland's Mayor Frank Jackson blocks certain citizens from receiving City Mayor's twitter posts

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 05/02/2017 - 13:44.

The Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio is one Frank Jackson.    From meeting Mr. Jackson and knowing his "it is what it is" very low energy style I can confidently suggest that Mr. Jackson does not personally populate the twitter account of the Cleveland Mayor linked here.

Today's Realneo header is a copy of a "you are blocked" message to one Cleveland citizen.

THIS IS WHAT AN INSANE "TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM" LOOKS LIKE.

This "system" is being promoted around the world.

A LOT TO DO EVERYDAY WITHOUT A HOUSE FIRE AT 3:45 AM - DEADLY - RUPTURED MY EQUANIMITY

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 03/14/2017 - 23:38.

I am just starting to get it together to report on this deadly fire...it took me some time to focus.    The image is a screen shot of my phone.

Lot's of failings - in old architectural design, lack of fireproofing, wrong brand new totally useless obsolete fire fighting million dollar equipment, lack of hard wired smoke detectors, and on and on.

Similar patterns from very different causes - how's this possible?

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 03/14/2017 - 18:26.

Compare the following two patterns:  The first is a pattern made in insect regurgitated saw dust mining in the cambium under the bark of dead cherry, the second is fresh snow scoured by wind.   Totally different types of creative energy - resulting in very similar patterns.

Cleveland - the tone has changed - towards more economic and racial depression...

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 03/07/2017 - 11:25.

Realneo.us has been on air for over 11 years (thanks to Norm Roulet for conceiving realneo and thanks to the Drupal coders who put the site together in such a robust and problem free engineering feat!).   Over the 11+ years that I have been involved with realneo and North East Ohio,  certain themes come up again and again (read Roldo for multi generational comparisons),  and certain viewpoints are challenged and one's thoughts are modified.

Did POTUS fire Sally Yates because she was on to his USSR connections? Or because Ms. Yates refused to defend exec order?

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 02/14/2017 - 23:41.

POTUS has been married 3 times.   That's much like someone who I knew involved with Realneo back in 2004.   Very confident, extremely bright.   Massively inventive.

Ready to interview all the local Mayors and civic leaders.  I went along.  Felt pretty cool.   Access.

Well, that's POTUS too.

So when I read about Flynn speaking from the Dominican Republic to Russian reps - and his convos were being recorded by the CIA - and Mr. Flynn "resigns", well, I ain't buyin in.

ACLU immigrants rights advice - good for all of us to read and remember

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sun, 02/12/2017 - 15:44.

Please take a minute and review the ACLU's citizen's rights review at this link.   Click through the pages of the ACLU review.

One suggestion that the ACLU did not make is turn on your telephone voice audio recorder and leave the phone in your pocket - maybe a recording could be helpful later.

Good luck.

Oroville, Calif. spillway failure - IMO absolutely can endanger dam itself.

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sun, 02/12/2017 - 14:39.

The image above from the latimesgraphics makes it look (at least to me) that the primary dam is concrete - it is not concrete - it is dirt!   The prmary dam appears so vertical  (camera lense issue) that I thought it had to be concrete - no, it's "engineered" compacted dirt.

Nordstrom or NUTS? is POTUS gone?

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 02/08/2017 - 20:30.

so we have a very serious situation:   the three persons who are in line to lead the USA are POTUS, Vice POTUS, and Paul Ryan, leader of the House.

POTUS is tweeting about NORDSTROM,  and the commercial decision to sell or not sell certain brands.   Oh!   this is the thing POTUS should be focused on....

Wow,  folks, we are in to some deep trouble ahead....

Realneo.us domain renewal snaffoo-admin neglected to update email forwarding from domain registrar-apologies for inconvenience

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 02/08/2017 - 14:02.

Realneo.us was not hacked.    Admin did a hack job!    (and the asteroid Guy mentions didn't help)

The reason a realneo.us name search would not find the realneo.us server is because the domain name had expired.

Admin did not realize the expiration was approaching because emails which in the past were forwarded to admin from the registrar had been interrupted - no longer forwarded via other terminated domains.

Admin apologizes for the inconvenience.   At no time was the realneo.us content at risk.

Ohio did not join boughtmilk.com class action alleging collusion between dairy co-ops

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sun, 01/22/2017 - 15:02.

Raising the price of milk by colluding to restrain supply (slaughering 1/2 million dairy cows) is a violation of the Sherman anti-trust act.   BTW, Sherman was a Republican from OHIO!

Open Carry of Machine Guns in Shaker Square - Ohioans exercise second amendment rights!

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sun, 01/22/2017 - 12:01.

How can we be sure these folks weren't just making a large deposit at the PNC bank in Shaker Square?

Cleveland.com was careful not to mention "Shaker Square", instead refering to the robbery as being "in the 2700 block of South Moreland Blvd.

Why?   Ad dollars from whom?

Pussy Hat March defines/suggests a new type of democracy without Washington, DC

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 01/21/2017 - 22:05.

All around the world today persons went out and demonstrated.    Millions and millions of people.

Where were those Americans during the election last fall?

Our democracy focused/set in Washington DC is the problem.   It is obsolete.  It attacts sociopathic persons, mainly men, who go to DC and are then easy prey for the lobby corporations.

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 11/05/2016 - 21:27.

Compared with other large metropolitan school districts around the United States, Cleveland's public school children are more than 3 years behind the average - only Detroit's school system performs more poorly for its students.

Festive mood on the street outside Cuyahoga County Board of Elections building

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Fri, 11/04/2016 - 20:43.

The mood was upbeat on the street outside the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.   Seemed well organized, with parking lots behind the Board and across the street in two or three other lots.  Signage was effective, a canopy covered the sidewalk in case of rain and a line of voters....

One older man was selling his home made Hillary buttons for $4.   Lots of Judge signs stuck in the sidewalk cracks.
