NEO has World-Class SCALE - and that is massive for NEO Economy

SCALE is a little recognized world-class power-house "Cluster" of NEO's economy - it is our "Supply Chain And Logistics Economy" and it is globally respected, though nearly a secret in local circles.

Today, I attended a free demonstration by a leader of our SCALE - e-Ventus - showcasing their "sole-source" web-based supply chain management application MX Supplier - for more specifics, see event listing here and the e-Ventus website here - which is "custom built" for NEO's bread and butter economy... MANUFACTURING!

I'll post more about this great application in due time but will point out now that it is fantastic, and that highlights that NEO has many great and innovative entrepreneurial companies that never get the spotlight - never show up in the media - never get the support of our economic development community - and for that they struggle and thus may lag their potential... e-Ventus should be promoted by NEO near and far!

Not that they are alone at world-class in this REALNEO SCALE "cluster". I recently attended several roundtable events on SCALE in our region featuring leaders of many enterprises excelling right here in NEO in the fields of supply chain and logisics... REI had a session on developing this sector, which I wrote about here... and Case CIO Lev Gonick hosted a roundtable with the CIO of Yellow/Roadway on this industry, which I wrote about here.

Local economic development leader Herb Crowther is driving an initiative to further awareness of opportunity in this sector and REALNEO is developing a COIL (Community Of Interest Link) to help build collaboration of industry leaders interested in this success. Until the separate COIL is ready, all related information is posting on the REALNEO site here, for your review. Over the next few weeks, there are several events you can attend to learn more and become involved with the development of this sector - see the following links, and keep checking back with REALNEO for SCALE related developments!
