Wheels of Progress?

Two skate parks with similar problems: vandalism and graffiti: one may have found a creative - literally - solution. While Solon is considering closing its skate park, Akron is looking to the offenders themselves for an answer - they get to paint their park.
Who knows if it will work, but it's certainly worth a try. Good to hear that they will use paint recycled from solid waste paint collections. Maybe some of the new artists will feel involved enough to look after the park going forward. If not, they certainly will have had their opportunity for a fresh start. Plus, a few buildings may have been spared. Success here could encourage other communities to repeat the experiment.

Sounds like smart plan all the way around
Thanks for posting this inspiring article - love that they have thought through issues of paint choices and are using reclaimed paint - I can't wait to see what the end results look like!
