Today, we are filing papers to launch our 2012 campaign - Barack Obama

Norm --

Today, we are filing papers to launch our 2012 campaign.

We're doing this now because the politics we believe in does not start with expensive TV ads or extravaganzas, but with you -- with people organizing block-by-block, talking to neighbors, co-workers, and friends. And that kind of campaign takes time to build.

So even though I'm focused on the job you elected me to do, and the race may not reach full speed for a year or more, the work of laying the foundation for our campaign must start today.

We've always known that lasting change wouldn't come quickly or easily. It never does. But as my administration and folks across the country fight to protect the progress we've made -- and make more -- we also need to begin mobilizing for 2012, long before the time comes for me to begin campaigning in earnest.

As we take this step, I'd like to share a video that features some folks like you who are helping to lead the way on this journey. Please take a moment to watch

In the coming days, supporters like you will begin forging a new organization that we'll build together in cities and towns across the country. And I'll need you to help shape our plan as we create a campaign that's farther reaching, more focused, and more innovative than anything we've built before.

We'll start by doing something unprecedented: coordinating millions of one-on-one conversations between supporters across every single state, reconnecting old friends, inspiring new ones to join the cause, and readying ourselves for next year's fight.

This will be my final campaign, at least as a candidate. But the cause of making a lasting difference for our families, our communities, and our country has never been about one person. And it will succeed only if we work together.

There will be much more to come as the race unfolds. Today, simply let us know you're in to help us begin, and then spread the word:

Thank you,

Barack

SIGN PRO-LIFE PETITION!  Help Congress defund ALL child-killing abortions, period.  Select, sign, we will fax all 535 Congressmen and Senators (saving you time!)

Harry Reid:  "Pay for Abortions or I'll Shut Down the Government."

The Hill newspaper reports Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has effectively issued an red;">ultimatum with a threat to shut down the federal government unless House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) agrees to continue long-term funding of Planned Parenthood, the nation's #1 abortion provider, with your tax dollars.

"A Republican proposal seeking to ban taxpayer dollars for Planned Parenthood will not be part of any agreement to fund the government for the rest of the fiscal year," declared Harry Reid, taking a stand for tax-funded child-killing.  "Not only no, but hell no," said Reid.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, criticized Reid's demands: "Senator Reid is wrong. Planned Parenthood is an abortion-centered organization and America's largest. It performs more than 300,000 abortions a year, which constitutes at least 37 percent of its revenue, by conservative estimates.... Planned Parenthood must be defunded and it must be defunded now."

While Boehner had voiced support for red;">eventually defunding Planned Parenthood, he stated last month he would not shut down the government over the abortion issue.  "There are a lot of options on the table but I don't think in the short term, the CR (continuing resolution) is the opportunity we're looking for," Boehner told CBN News.

Pro-life activist red;">Randall Terry says Boehner is caving in to keep fund abortions.  "Mr. Boehner does not get it," Terry said.  "The 'opportunity we're looking for' is here and now. By saying ahead of time that he would 'not shut down the government' over Planned Parenthood, he has telegraphed to the Senate, and to us, that he is surrendering."

Will House Republicans cave-in to Reid, and fund Planned Parenthood?  Let's call all 535 Congressmen and Senators at 202-225-3121 and demand they stop funding aboriton.   Don't have time to make 535 phone calls?  Sign our petition, and we save you time by auto-faxing all of them, immediately.  Let's draw the line, and stop funding abortion.

Please select, sign, and we will fax your petition to all 535 Congressmen and Senators (saving you time!) to DEFUND ALL ABORTIONS, AND SAVE ALL UNBORN CHILDREN, including those born as victims of rape or incest.  Let's take a stand for unborn children.

Obama Threatens to Shut Down Government without Tax-Funded Abortions

The Washington Times reported last month President Obama was still threatening to veto House spending cuts to abortion provider Planned Parenthood, and Senate Democrats led by Harry Reid (D-NV) are demanding full federal government funding for abortions with your tax dollars.   "Mr. Obama has issued a veto threat on that bill, saying House Republicans’ cuts are unacceptable," the Times reports, "and Senate Democrats said the non-spending provisions of the bill — such as restrictions on Planned Parenthood and on Obama administration rules and regulations — will also have to be struck."

Thank you, President Obama

for standing up to the tea baggers and being firm about certain budget cuts. While I am disenchanted with what you said that you would do vs what you did do, I can understand some of it, given the polarizing environment that is promoted by some groups in the US.

For those who wonder about the use of teabagger (emphasis added)

Definition of Teabagger

I found this definition of Teabagger online at:

http://www.urbandictionary.com...

"A misinformed, right-wing corporate media consumer who often fails to understand that BOTH major parties represent a corrupt plutocracy that steals from the middle class by taxing labor and profiting from corporate tax subsidies.

"A teabagger also often fails to acknowledge that George W. Bush and his neo-conservative minions perpetrated one of the boldest and most egregious executive power grabs in the history of the United States. Furthermore, teabaggers mistakenly continue to blame a newly elected President Obama for all that ails the United States of America, based on a grossly flawed perception of reality (including latent racial prejudice) and despite the fact the U.S. economy collapsed on the previous administration's watch.

"Teabaggers are also known to base their misguided, right-wing-media-inspired beliefs about President Obama on stupid conspiracy theories about totalitarian takeovers, FEMA camps, etc., despite the fact these very same theories have been circulating around on the Internet for years, and were originally ascribed to neo-conservative cabalists at a time when Barack Obama had not even entered national politics. Teabaggers also are known to be particularly paranoid, xenophobic and intolerant, especially with regard to immigrants and anyone who isn't white.

"Additionally, teabaggers generally echo stupid myths about entitlement spending (it actually only accounts for about 1% of federal budget spending), have no idea that most poor people in America are not lazy, actually do work and don't want to be on welfare, and have no idea what socialism actually means or that socialist reform in this country is actually what allowed a middle class to flourish and ultimately make the U.S. one of the most prosperous nations in human history.

"Furthermore, teabaggers incorrectly equate socialism with Stalinism, think a system that rewards greed (capitalism) is the divine preference (despite Gospel evidence to the contrary), and are shameless champions of a misguided belief in American exceptionalism. Teabaggers also fail to recognize the inherently unpatriotic nature of their failed every-man-for-himself ideology that ultimately vilifies anyone who supports public policy aimed at reaching out to fellow Americans in need. They celebrate an exploitative corporatocracy (holy creator of jobs, blah blah blah) while denigrating the little guy for being "weak."

"Interestingly, teabaggers uphold an immoral, morbidly obese, twice divorced, draft-dodging, college dropout and known drug addict as their de facto leader, and are even known to advocate burning books. Of course, teabaggers fail to recognize the blatant hypocrisy within the GOP and tend to oversimplify all political debate and social issues, much like their pseudo-intellectual, fat-ass leader.

"Finally, incredibly, teabaggers fail to recognize the hysterical double entendre associated with their proudly adopted teabag moniker.

"Every village has its idiots, of course, but it's sad when citizens of any nation allow themselves to be whipped into a frenzy en masse by a state-run propaganda machine masquerading as a legitimate, fair, balanced and independent news organization. Teabaggers are right to believe the future of the U.S.A. is in jeopardy, but sadly they have not yet correctly identified the real enemy. Perhaps when teabaggers finally grow up and mature into thinking adults, they will see the right-leaning power establishment for the oppressive and cunning beast that it is.

"Teabagger: We don't care that George Bush tripled the deficit and lied us into a war. The new administration only cut taxes for 90% of the population... fascists. Let's go throw some Lipton tea bags into a fountain!"

President Obama, what does “teabagger” mean?

Posted: 4th May 2010 by Scott @ The Right of a Nation in General Politics

I’ve said it time and time again, but why are the politicians who use the term “teabagger” never asked to explain what it means?  (yes I know the answer is because they are liberal Democrats)

Obama is now using the term publicly, according to the Washington Times.

The term “tea-bagger” is like uttering the “n” word, some say. Though he aspires to promote civility, evidence has surfaced that President Obama has added “tea-bagger” to his public lexicon, though it’s considered a cheap and tawdry insult by “tea party” activists.

How could anyone not consider it a “cheap and tawdry insult?”  Anyone who knows what the term means knows that it is a “cheap and tawdry insult,” you idiot (whoever wrote this article, don’t feel like re-opening the link to find out).

I can’t remember any other time that it was perfectly OK for politicians to publicly use such a foul, crude, sexual term and not be questioned about it, but hey, there have been a lot of firsts with this administration.

With Obama keeping all his past under lock and key, we are left with sites that say this

    --snip--

Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there, but none remembered him.

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me. I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia Ever! Nobody recalls him. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not kidding."

Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that. Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him. At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange? It's very strange."

Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia.

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School, then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political Science major (in the same class as President Barack Obama WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN IN).[//]

---I have not heard of any fellow student or teacher talking about having Obama in class. No childhood friends, or teachers through the grade school years, high school years, or college. The guy has no history. No photos of him going to school, hanging with friends, nothing. No other girlfriends.

I really am not sure if anyone 'hates' him, I know I don't. I have a strong dislike for him because he is a liar, but not hate. I hate what he is doing to America tho, and am sure millions do too.

But, at the end of the day, I too think that he was not 'elected' and instead, the vote was rigged. You can read documents saying the results were posted before it was possible to even know, others that say the machines can 'fix' any election. Which I believe, seeing much about it. Details, it is all in the details, and he lacks ANY! Betty

A constitutional Sheriff would investigate who authorized these machines in the County and bring charges for negligence of duty. The machines are unconstitutional due to the fact that the votes can not be counted in public.
