Stucco at Work

Stucco is the surface on this convertible building. 
No architect or decorator could conceive of the magnificent color scheme that the wear of the weather produced. 

Please bear with me, I have a few more stucco masterpieces to promote on Realneo over the next few days.

I do like this. I wonder how stucco holds up to freeze thaw cycles.

Stucco holds up well here ...

Our house is a tudor built in 1906, the stucco is in almost perfect condition with the exception of a few spots where the water was continually hitting it. It also appears to have held paint very well. I know that real stucco has become somewhat rare in home building now. A foam board is often used and covered with a thin layer of mortar.
