Cleveland Public Library's BOOK CLUB held in the Social Sciences DepartmentSubmitted by newmillenniumli... on Fri, 08/28/2009 - 09:15.
The Social Sciences Department of the Cleveland Public Library is facilitating a non-fiction book club. Our discussion will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 12:00 PM in the Social Sciences Department. We will discuss the book entitled, "Teacher Man," by Frank McCourt. Frank McCourt's critically acclaimed, Pulitzer Prize-winning bestseller is about how his 20-year teaching career in the public schools of New York City shaped his second act as a writer. All book club members may register and pick up their books at the Social Sciences Department reference desk. Feel free to bring your own lunch. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. All questions may be directed to the Social Sciences Department at 216-623-2860. Thanks for your patronage and look forward to seeing you there!!!

Dragons & Dwarves
Teacher Man is on my "to-read" list...thanks NewMillennium :)
Check out this local story, too--Dragons & Dwarves: Novels of the Cleveland Portal
The book is billed as science-fiction, but sadly, it is not...more true crime.
