However, Tom Bell is in the same situation, if you get a chance this weekend and you are in the Tremont area, drive by the Flying Monkey.. the house immediately (adjoining) behind the Flying Monkey (facing Professor) is on the condemed/demolition list..!!! I've invited Tom to join the discussion here.. everyone was very instrumental in stopping the craziness. Off to work.. I'll post more later..

Candidate for TWDC BoardSubmitted by Claude Cornett on Mon, 12/14/2009 - 23:13.
I am considering running for a position on the TWDC Board, and here is my draft bio. Suggestions on how to improve it are encouraged. I also urge other members of our community to run for Board Positions. Whether or not we win, we can raise many important issues during the campaign.

ODOT Vegetative Screening Site Plans for Tremont (West side of the highway embankment)Submitted by Henry Senyak on Mon, 12/14/2009 - 10:49.
I am attatching two PDF Site Plans. These were sent to me by ODOT late last week. You will see close to 375 new trees are planned. 7 different style deciduous trees. 2 different style evergreen trees. Additions incorporated into the plans after the last meeting with neighborhood stakeholders. 1) Dead and potentially hazardous trees will be removed. (Trees that have the possibility to fall or are growing at a severe angle) Additional new trees will replace these locations on a one to one basis. (These locations are not counted in the site plan totals).

Jefferson Avenue - Looking west up to what is now W. 3rd. I think it was named Central at that time. That building looks to be same one still standing at the bottom of Jefferson hill.

Demolition efforts continueSubmitted by DesireeSchmitt on Mon, 12/07/2009 - 10:04.
I've been away for awhile because some posts were getting negative and I have been battling so many wars over the past year, I needed to insulate myself and focus. However, while attending the fundraiser for Frank yesterday, I was strongly encouraged to re-engage. The conversations yesterday were both frustraiting and encouraging. Building and Housing (B&H) is still after Tom Bell (2441-3 Professor) and myself (714-6) College. B&H seems to be striking swifter and faster than before.

Resident Advocacy Group - Tremont Clark Avenue Bridge, Longest Span in the Country, Cleveland, Ohio ca. 1917 A couple of concrete supports are still around. There are 2 at the bottom of Clark hill and Quigley. I 've heard that no one is sure who owns them. That seems odd. I think that they should be preserved in any case. Support Cycling and Pedestrian Access for the Proposed I-90 Bridge (And Get A Great View Along the Way)Submitted by Kevin Cronin on Sun, 11/29/2009 - 23:23.
Despite public support and an obligation to evaluate cycling and pedestrian access to the proposed Interstate 90/71 Bridge from tremont to downtown, the Ohio Department of Transportation refused to do so.In response, a bunch of cycling and community groups took on the responsibilities ODOT dropped. Come out next Sunday, December 6th, and learn about an exciting vision for a cycling and pedestrian lane on the bridge and why an exciting, beautiful path (along with a place to enjoy the view) to connect the towpath and downtown makes sense for Northeast Ohio

Please review the following PDF documents made available to me from ODOT District 12. ODOT has informed Public Officials that no noise walls will be constructed in the first innerbelt bridge phase 1. This is specific to the west side of the highway in Tremont from University Ave. to the north and Branch Ave. to the south.
