The Cleveland Public Library welcomes the Year of the Ox with two Lunar New Year celebrations at the Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium, FREE and open to the public, the event will take place at the Main Library, Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium, E. 6th Street and Superior Avenue, on Saturday, February 7 at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m.  The Kwan Family will perform the attention-grabbing lion dance, an expression of strength and power to chase away evil spirits and bring good luck to the New Year. The dance will be accompanied by a Chinese Yo-Yo demonstrations and traditional Chinese dances performed by local youth groups. Enjoy family-based entertainment and traditional refreshments at one of the largest Lunar New Year celebrations in the Midwest. Visit the Foreign Literature Department in the library to browse one of the largest Chinese-language collections in the region.
