Vote now for Cleveland's Placement as one of America's Fave Cities!

Now is the time to try to see if we can support others in the community spearheading an effort to raise awareness of Cleveland and get Cleveland to be included as a Fave City for travel lovers from all over the world - and particularly users of American Express Publishing's site for Travel and Leisure.  This seems like a great opportunity to join the 'A-List' of celeb cities that have the long-distinguished honor of being considered for this great title.  These 'forgotten' ten cities are up for consideration this year, and only half will join the A-List once voting concludes, May 15th:

  • Anchorage, AK
  • Baltimore, MD
  • Cleveland, OH
  • Detroit, MI
  • Houston, TX
  • Kansas City, MO
  • Memphis, TN
  • Providence, RI
  • Salt Lake City, UT
  • St. Louis, MO

So let's get out the vote on this one, and perhaps raise awareness to a growing shift and intriguing infrastructure that might someday make this the greatest city on earth.  We've a long way to go yet - but let's start by becoming more noticed and appreciated globally through online media channels like this one.  Should we do that we'd join the many other great cities on the A-LIST!

The longstanding  'A-List' cities, by the way, would be:

  • Atlanta
  • Austin
  • Boston
  • Charleston
  • Chicago
  • Dallas/Ft.Worth
  • Denver
  • Honolulu
  • Las Vegas
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • Minneapolis/St Paul
  • Nashville
  • New Orleans
  • New York
  • Orlando
  • Philadelphia
  • Phoenix/Scottsdale
  • Portland, Oregon
  • San Antonio
  • San Diego
  • San Francisco
  • Santa Fe
  • Seattle
  • Washington, DC

Get out the vote now, and join a movement to help raise our city in prominence and greatness - many of our civic leaders have already championed this call recently via Twitter and Facebook.   Let's do our part, REALNEO!

Work hard on making this list

  Please!!!

Cleveland is going to have to work hard at making the Travel+Leisure list.  T+L is a huge national indicator.  Thanks to Sudhir for calling this to everyone's attention.

Cosmopolitan folks live in the CITY :)

How 20 somethings...

See Cleveland....warning before you view..yeah..we have some work to do, but the song IS catchy :)

 In the director's own words:

The Cleveland Tourism Board gave me 14 million dollars about 8 months ago to make a promotional video to bring people to Cleveland. As usual, I waited till the last minute and I ended up having to shoot and edit it in about an hour yesterday afternoon. I probably should have invested more time.

If you're bored, come and see my sketch group this [posted April]Tuesday the 21st and Wednesday the 22nd at Hilarities/Pickwick and Frolic right in the heart of the exceptional downtown Cleveland. Hit up pickwickandfrolic.com for tix and info.

How SGS sees Cleveland

Funniest city?

  Nation's funniest city?  Gotta laugh...

Congrats to Collinwood

Someone has their act together there--Travel + Leisure made it one of America's best secret neighborhoods:

Thanks to BFD for bringing it to wider attention.  Collinwood...versus Tremont...versus Brooklyn Centre...hmmm.  A little competition?
