Dateline:  NYC

Got him.  The trash has been taken out.  Along with his family and friends who hung too close. I only have crocodile tears for any of them.  They knew what he was.  What he did.  History wins.  Now--where to head:  Times Square or WTC?  Great night in the city.  Thinking of friends from that Tuesday.  Thinking of other friends who lost loved ones that clear September morning.

At the concert for the city after 9/11, Stones did Salt of the Earth and Miss You.  Jagger only said "You mess with New York--you're f___ked".  He knew.  Let loose the dogs of war and cry havoc. And now, Jagger & Richards: "Let's drink to the hard working people.  Let's drink to the lowly of birth.  Raise your glass to the good and the evil.  Let's drink to the salt of the earth.  Spare a thought for the  common foot soldier.  Spare a thought for his wife and his children.  Who burn the fires and who still till the Earth.  Raise your glass to the hard working people.  Let's drink to the uncounted heads.  Let's drink to the hard working people.  Let's drink to the lowly of birth.  Spare a thought for the rag taggy people.  Let's drink to the Salt of the Earth.  Let's drink to the two thousand million.  Let's think of the humble of birth."

NYC is still a target.  I was in Times Square when that loser loaded a car bomb there last year.  Panic.  McCartney had it right:  "I will fight, for the right, to live in freedom."  No retreat.  No surrender.
