UP-DATE - Two - by-law admendments for tremont west development corporation

(up-date: the by-laws and or the charter of twdc should be changed to include  help for other speicies - weather pets or wild life.
all the staff of tremont west development corporation are doing a wonderfull job.

Respectfully i'm  requesting my  two amendments be adopted of the current  TWDC by-laws as of this date 10-26-09.

My Proposed amendment to these sections to be considered, debated, and voted on at the Special Meeting of the TWDC membership which is to be held on November 11th at Zion Church. (The amendments are in bold italic underlined)).
These said proposal can be approved in whole or in part, and/or can be motioned to be incorporated within the new proposed changes sent out by the TWDC By-Law Committee. The goal is to promote diversity and equality of all residents and stakeholders in the Tremont neighborhood.

Article IV: Board of Trustees Section 5
 
Candidates for the election as President and at-large members of the Board of Trustees shall be nominated as follows:
 
A. Prior to each annual meeting, the Board of Trustees shall appoint a committee of members of which no more than fifty percent (50%) of the committee are existing board members. This committee shall prepare a list of nominees and submit this list to the Board. This list will then be presented for election at the annual meeting.
B. At the annual meeting, additional nominations may be made by members. Each additional nomination must have a second member to endorse it to be valid.

(The TWDC Nominating Committee shall be required to conduct  a proper vetting process in which at least 50% of the said nominee/candidates on a annual basis conform with the following qualifications to meet the community's diversity and to insure equality. The Nominating Committee shall seek out minority,  disabled/handicapped that are low income and other low income members of the Tremont community)
B. At the annual meeting, additional nominations may be made by members. Each additional nomination must have a second member to endorse it to be valid.

Any member of TWDC is eligible to serve as an at-large trustee, with the following exceptions:
 
A. Full or part-time staff members are not eligible;
B. One person from any household and/or immediate family may serve on the board at any one time;
C. Ancillary staff members of TWDC are not eligible;
D. Candidate must be a current member of TWDC.
The Board of Trustees shall be composed of the following:
A. Five (5) officers of TWDC;
B. Ten (10) at large trustees;
C. Ex-officio representatives from TWDC Constituency groups with non-voting privileges.

           c) Vacancies of low income board members shall be filled by the board with another   qualified  candidate that meets the requirement of this section.
