"That proposal would also include a 1.5 acre "Urban Farm"...". I submitted the proposal, a public document, highlighted below and attached as a PDF, and can say the Sun Press report is largely correct, but the story is far from complete, and far more exciting than the Sun brings to light.

Cleveland State University, City Year, and BBC are seeking volunteers to participate in "Make a Difference Day" on Saturday, October 25, 2008. Students, faculty, and staff of Cleveland State, City Year corps members, and many others will be concentrating on the beautification of East 33rd & 35th Streets between Central and Cedar Avenues. The Central neighborhood, one of Cleveland's greatest comeback communities in recent years, has been selected as the focus area of the event.

FRIDAY: Regional events will highlight innovative and successful NEO food operations ranging from urban farming on old parking lots in Cleveland to newly formed farm co-ops in Geauga County.
