Floral Forum Fantastique

I'll be supervising some Saturday work at Case and stop-by subsequently to study the soiree.  I was inspired by a previous preview of the the stellar sustainable slow-food seminar with you and Norm.   One thing that came to mind was the great potential the Cleveland Botanical Gardens (CBG) would have to explore utilitarian utility of their underground and above-ground facilities.  The terrific terrarium on Ford is somwhat of a sinkhole in terms of energy consumption so it might be interesting to suggest meaningful cost-and-energy efficiencies that would result from smart sustainable strategies.  One specific strategy would be to grow green growths of valued value in the tech-rich terrarium, thus abating aesthetic, agrarian, and accounting ails.  Climate Conditioned Climes already replicate the Madagascaran Desert and Tropical Tropics of the Tropic of Cancer and such.  Including native plants native to such climes which return value - i.e. agave in the desert or orchids, silkmoths, shittake and saffron elsewhere would be a realistic yet idealistic vision I'd like to see CBG pursue.

Extrapolating this further to explore underground options or feasible fantasy might yield sustainable economic outcomes for our region within years and mitigate potential potentialites and problems posed by threats like theoretically tyrant-types - an angry Al-Qaidan, Notorius North Korean, and Infamous Iranian that might comprise an antihero axis if we are not aptly aversive.  And more than the relgious right have decided that deadly disasters and plagues (i.e. Hilary Swank's feature film The Reaping ) might be more of a threat than mere mythos.

But lest i permute pervasively to policy and  political prose I'll stop here.

Thanks for the Tip, Evelyn.   I enjoyed your witty writeup of the past CBG extravaganza.   Perhaps we can congregate a cultured congregation for a climactic climate conditioned cultural concert.

Peace!
