World-renowned Cleveland artist, Reverend Albert Lee Wagner passed away on September 1 of 2006 leaving his family, his ministry and his art behind.  For Cleveland’s “Black Moses,” God and art were his salvation.  The Salvation of the Reverend Albert Wagner is now coming forward; THE EXHIBITION showcases his art and shares his story.  It is all very continuous, powerful and left up to interpretation.
Please join Convivium33 Gallery and his ministry, The People Love People House of God, as Convivium’s gallery doors open to a collection of works that speak to you and take you on a journey of redemption and salvation.  Albert believed that his art was an extension of his ministry and his personal beliefs.  As it grows in prominence, the Reverend’s work has become a powerful extension of his voice, allowing his message and mission to live on.

Preview the exhibition at special mass on Wednesday, March 12 at 7 pm at Convivum33 Gallery. Join the artist’s family and friends, for a unique evening, as his daughter and minister of his parish, Sister Bonita celebrates Albert’s art and serves his parish.   There is no charge for the evening but seating is limited.  Please call Convivum33 Gallery for reservations or visit http://www.josaphatartshall.com/gallery/schedule.php

The Intergenerational School is holding a Wine & Cheese Open House (with Student‐Led Tours!), this Thursday, March 13, 2008 - 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm - and I strongly encourage those interested in innovation in education and aging to attend. Read through the whole invitation to learn more about the school - it is astounding, as are the founders... Cathy and Peter Whitehouse. This is the school that I hope to expand in the former Hough Bakeries complex, as the anchor for redevelopment of the surrounding neighborhood, so if you are interested in that project then you are interested in TIS.... I hope to see you there Thursday... be sure to RSVP!

Max and Evelyn Roulet

When Evelyn and I learned we were expecting Claes, three years ago, we started exploring local natural childbirth and child support resources, and have most enjoyed the getting to know the people with the Cleveland BirthNetwork, which is part of a national organization has a mailing list and holds regular local meet-ups and casual events... I strongly recommend expecting families to attend one of their activities, like the following...  An afternoon of discussion and meeting advocates for change, with Judy Norsigian, executive director and co-founder of Our Bodies Ourselves, and Ourselves, co-contributing editor of Our Bodies, Ourselves: Pregnancy and Birth.

What does tomorrow look like? For Fritz Haeg it is a place where rather than waste precious natural resources on vanity-scapes like the ubiquitous front lawn we learn to work with the earth and find both beauty and functionality in personal and social investments such as his  “Edible Estates”. It is a tomorrow that includes architecture as a way of relocating animals to their natural habitats. Haeg will discuss his work as an architect, designer, educator, curator, artist, in short---visionary, as well as his ideas about an alternate model to the artist as isolated creator.

THE EXHIBITION is just one of several captivating simultaneous events focusing on the art and life of Reverend Albert Wagner.
