COURT WATCH INFO SHEET (rev. 9-1-2009) Adult Criminal Cases The Second District no longer has a specific community based prosecutor. In order to find out which County prosecutor is handling a particular case in the Second District we need to know who the judge is, and on what floor that judge's courtroom is located. See listing below. All email addresses begin with the prosecutor's initial, then last name, then @cuyahogacounty.us. For example: Ralph Kolasinski would be: rkolasinski [at] cuyahogacounty [dot] us. Whenever you send a letter or a fax to a judge, or magistrate, send a copy of it to the prosecutor either by mail, fax or email. Also, email a copy of it to: courtwatch [at] twdc [dot] org. (When you email the copy to courtwatch, it will automatically also be emailed to the TWDC Safety Committee). Also, if appropriate, email it to Bob Shores at Ohio City Near West Development Corp. at bshores [at] ohiocity [dot] org.
Be sure to date the letter, and in the upper right reference the name of the defendant, the case number, the judge and floor number.
The public can attend all trials and sentencings. Park in the surface or underground garage behind the Probate Court building on the North side of Lakeside Ave. directly across the street from the Justice Center. Take the walkway underneath Lakeside Ave. into the Justice Center, or just walk across Lakeside Ave. if weather permits. Turn in your parking receipts for reimbursement by TWDC.

GET INVOLVED
If you would like to join the Safety Committee, or just go to a meeting and see what is going on, come to a monthly meeting held every second Monday of each month at TWDC offices at 2406 Professor St. at 7 p.m.
The Safety Committee, and many Block Clubs, writes and sends letters, but private citizens should do so too. Don't worry about a judge receiving too many letters on a particular defendant. If you feel like writing, do it! You won't be stepping on anyone's toes. Letters should be sent after the trial and before the sentencing. Letters should be short; absolutely limited to one page and even then just a half page at most is best. Tell the judge that you are a resident in the Tremont (or wherever) neighborhood and that you are fed up and sick and tired of crime in the neighborhoods. Send a copy of it to courtwatch [at] twdc [dot] org. And, send a copy of it to the appropriate prosecutor listed above. Type the letter or write it longhand, it doesn't make any difference.
