'Only the Super-rich Can Save Us!'

Hi Everyone,

For those of you who managed to survive their formal education without a Latin course or two or who have long since forgotten their ancient history; a quick review.

 
When a Roman child gave the Roman mommy and daddy a problem at bed time, the parents might try to frighten their child into going to bed with the terrifying statement "Hannibal ad portas" (Hannibal is at the gates). Hannibal, you might recall was the incredibly capable Carthaginian general who invaded Rome by crossing the Alps. Though defeated militarily, the very thought of "Hannibal ad portas" would, for centuries, remain as a metaphor for alarm in ancient Rome.
 
Could you imagine what would have happened to Barry The Bomber if he had the nads to debate Nader?
 
This was crossing my mind as I was thinking about how I might announce the arrival of Ralph Nader. I was thinking how liberals might respond to: "Nader ad portas"! Yes, Ralph Nader is not only coming to Philadelphia (September 22nd) but will be appearing in cities across the nation during September and October. I have listed complete details at the bottom of this message.
 
Although I finally settled on the "Hannibal ad portas" analogy, several others were in hot contention. I was wondering how the bloodsucking, soul destroying vampires must feel when forced to look upon the cross. I wondered how they must feel when they cannot see their own reflection in a mirror. I try to imagine Democrats looking at Ralph Nader then cowering in fear and being completely unable to see anything in themselves reflected in Nader.
