Here's a community Garden site on West 48th Street, South of Clark... You can find these sites around the neighborhood in vacant lots. Citizens unite every Spring to plant fresh flowers and vegetables in these empty lots. Soon, there will be enough vacant lots to support more food than is needed by the dwindling population of Cleveland.

It's intriguing to see these gardens become a part of life again in Cleveland. I am aware of several families that were "CITED" for "HIGH WEEDS" that came in the fall after their gardens had overgrown and not been expeditiously cleared.
