Jennifer Brunner Courage Express

Dear Norm,

I've been traveling Ohio on our silver school bus that we bought on eBay and our supporters named "The Courage Express." What's it like? Well, it's a little bumpy, as school buses are, but it's one of the happiest times of this campaign.

We have mobile wi-fi on board, for one thing. And my amazing campaign staff has configured the bus like a first class section of a train with seats that face each other between table tops braced with wooden 2x2's.

When my friend Chris Stucke in Mandeville, Louisiana saw a picture of this shining silver beauty that my mother showed him, he counted the windows and declared, "That's a big bus!"

Chris is a bus driver in Louisiana who has kept a correspondence going between a school girl originally from Akron and me, so I take Chris' assessment as a supreme compliment.

More candidates should get to do what I'm doing--seeing people in their hometowns, listening to their stories and ideas and taking them to Congress with them. They've promised me after the primary that they'll bolt down a couple of recliners in the back and put speakers on the bus so we have nonstop tunes. Rick's already put together a great playlist.

As we continue our tour these next 8 days, keep a watch out for our bus, and if we're stopped, come say hi, and we'll show you how we're seeing the great people of Ohio.

How to help Brunner share her Ohio-grown genius with the world

How to help Brunner share her Ohio-grown genius with the world:

First off, thank you to everyone who participated in last weekend's canvassing events! It was a little soggy toward the end, but we knocked a lot of doors in and around Cuyahoga County and had a great time doing it. With just 8 days left until the primary election, it's time to make the final push.

Canvassing Efforts

This weekend, we already have 6 canvassing events planned, and we would love to see those of you who couldn't make it out this past weekend on this coming Saturday and Sunday. Check out this map to see the events we have planned.  If you can't make it to one of these but would still like to canvass, contact me at Scott [at] JenniferBrunner [dot] com.  We'll be happy to set you up with your own event, or an individual canvass in your neighborhood.

Election Day

Tuesday, May 4th is Election Day, and we need You to be out there at the polling locations to support our candidate.  To volunteer, email scott [at] jenniferbrunner [dot] com or go to this Sign Up Sheet.  We will contact you with information about available polling locations.

Phone Banking

We are still running phone banks across Ohio, and we need you to make some calls! It only takes a few minutes to get started, and you can do it from the comfort of home. Send us an email at scott [at] jenniferbrunner [dot] com for more info and we'll get you set up.

Remember, with just 8 days until primary election, it's time for all of us to hit the streets and spread the word. Now is the time for all of us to contribute a little of our time to really make a difference for Ohio.

Thanks!

Although "Romeo & Juliet" does make me cry

Although "Romeo & Juliet" does make me cry - powerful song

"We Have The Technology" Makes Me Laugh

"We Have The Technology" Makes Me Laugh... at "Sustainability".

And then I cry more... and I wonder if even Brunner can make a difference here

The Plain Dealer sure wants Fisher.... er a Republican

4 more years of the same old crap for Ohio - the PD proposes... "Lee Fisher has 'commanding' lead on Jennifer Brunner in Senate race, new poll shows"... an article where the only thing really leading is the poor journalism

After the primary is over and they have ruined Brunner's chance to save the region, the PD will recommend voting for a Republican... (I wouldn't finance a used Hummer from these Republicans).

And if Ohio Mainstream Media had a brain... and was honest

And if Ohio Mainstream Media had a brain... and was honest... "it" would endorse Brunner for US Senate, over Fisher and the Republican.

Too bad they aren't honest, and don't have brains.

I wouldn't finance a used Hummer from these Republicans

Actually, after taking a look at who the Republicans are fielding to replace the fossilized remnants of Voinovich, after he is finished combusting in Washington, the GOP candidates are not acceptable.

I wouldn't buy a car from auto industry millionaire Ganley... go to Detroit and fix your industry and stop asking for bailouts from citizens...!

Wat to show Ohio is progressive - Yes, let us send a used car dealer to Washington.... what interest rate are you paying on your 8 mpg Suburban, unreal NEO... 24.9%? Thanks Ganley!

And, speaking of bailouts, I saw in coverage of a 2009 City Club debate, reported in the Plain Dealer, clear proof Portman is clueless about the economy - DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT GOT US IN THIS MESS - BAILOUTS FOR REPUBLICANS:

Speaking before the City Club of Cleveland on Friday, Portman said one short-term solution to the economic problems is a yearlong suspension of the payroll tax, which he said Democrats want to increase.

The six-term congressman from Cincinnati and former Bush administrative official said suspending the tax could be covered with the $139 billion in remaining bailout funds meant to prop up failing banks. This would provide businesses with money to invest in jobs and innovation, he said, putting money back into the pockets of employers and workers.

Okay, so he will fix Ohio by taking part of a "$139 billion bailout" from Obama, reducing revenues for the struggling state, and giving corporations a bailout (which are not asking for such a bailout, except in Country Clubs, perhaps). Great strategy for a Republican that put us in this mess in the first place.

Sutton all the way--Ganley is old dinosaur

Rufff - Ganley tough on crime

Rufff - Ganley's tough on crime... thats is all I know, because some TV station keeps putting him in "public service" announcements about that... does he pay for these political endorsements...?

Can you think of any bigger crooks than the people dealing cars and auto financing all these years...

I wonder how many poor people have had their cars towed because of Ganley and the sucker lemons and deals his dealerships put them behind...

Rough.... rufff
