Having headed white-collar crime investigations for the FBI in Miami - where corruption was rampant - Figliuzzi told club members: "I thought I had seen the most corrupt operating environment I would ever see. But perhaps I was wrong."

Cuyahoga County could give Miami a run for its money and, apparently, New Orleans, too. Figliuzzi, the guest speaker at the club, said that an official from FBI headquarters - upon seeing the scope of corruption here - declared that Cuyahoga County could compare with the Big Easy.

He told the audience to keep an eye on the newspaper because there will be a whole lot of corruption news over the next three to six months.

THE BIGGEST CROOKS IN CLEVELAND ARE ALL TAVERN CLUB MEMBERS

Why did the FBI warn members of the PRIVATE Tavern Club? They don't even let women in - I doubt there is a black there other than to say Yessir.

Yet there is the FBI giving a private briefing.. with the PD invited. I'm sure this is illegal.

This it complete BULLSHIT CORRUPTION by the FBI - THE BIGGEST CROOKS IN CLEVELAND ARE ALL TAVERN CLUB MEMBERS

Disrupt IT

pick and choose ....out of the basket

seems, like, that, is what "THEY" all do!

I just can't believe the FBI would give a private briefing

I just can't believe the FBI would give a private briefing to the Tavern Club, with a journalist from the PD attending.

Makes me wonder if the PD journalist is a member of this club

....and who from the PD is member of The 50 Club of Cleveland?

I'll bet you coffee Goldberg, Egger or both is/are members of the 50 Club.

But we'll never know...

FBI AGENT FRANK FIGLIUZZI TRANSFERRED FROM CORRUPTAHOGA

According to the PD on Friday, FBI Agent Frank Figliuzzi was transferred out of Corruptahoga and reassigned to DC.  Makes one wonder if his replacement is a "softballer" and who or what is behind the sudden transfer?

Agent Figliuzzi

Per the peedee, this is a promotion. Insiders say that he was removed, drooling, dazed, and incoherent after being forced to read websites that spin tales of collusion, conspiracies, and corruption.

Seriously, the best wishes to Figliuzzi. He was obviously broght in to get a job done, and now that Dimoria has been indicted, his job is done.

That may or may not be so.

That may or may not be so.  The point is - is it possible he was promoted to get him out of Cleveland BECAUSE he was doing such a good job?  I don't think he was moved for doing a bad job.  It is because of him that all of this crap started coming to the surface.

no idea

Jerleen, I don't know how much the FBI in DC would be influenced by local stuff.

What is the real question here?

dazed and drooling

thank you for a monday laugh dw.

DON'T FORGET WRITTEN ALL IN CAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are the credentials of his replacement?

Future considerations for disrupting corruption in Cleveland and Cuyahoga County might have more focus on the endless dog and pony political crimes that violate HUD FUNDING PRINCIPLES AND VIOLATE THE PUBLIC AT LARGE!

Until the local governments reform those unreal activities that are all "pay to play" geared... Our local economy will continue to suffer abusive practices that lack regulation, oversight, and true transparency...

Best wishes FBI-Cleveland, Ohio...

Don't let the hugest government bottom feeder there is get away with more collusive practices in our community...

JP CHASE MORGAN BANK aka Plymouth Park Tax Services.... Chew them up, digest them, and regurgitate the gross injustices portrayed by their powerful bidding on our community....

from hands on to hands off

Sounds like the hands on is being replaced by an adminstrative type with local ties, never a good move. I wonder if this is his last stop before retirement?

like I said before, replaced

like I said before, replaced with a "softball."

this blog has blown the page and it very hard to read. I e-mailed realneo admin hours ago asking that it be reformatted to fit the page. I wonder if you edited the post by copying the post, pasting it to wordwhatever, and deleting the one on realneo, then reposting it after editing on word whatever  for size, if that would work. Maybe there is an easier way?
