Bach's Goldberg Variations on November 8th, 2008

The Fine Arts Department is pleased to present a recital of Johann Sebastian Bach's momumental Goldberg Variations performed by pianist Nathan Carterette on November 8th, 2008 at 2PM.
The recital will take place on the 3rd floor lobby of Main Library (Fine Arts and Special Collections) and will last approximately an hour.

 

This recital is free and open to all ages!

 

Winner of the 2004 Steinway Society of Massachusetts and Bartók-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev competitions (Sicily), Mr. Carterette has quickly established himself as a musician who is “very compelling in his power and presence” (International Composer). During the past four seasons, Mr. Carterette has given recitals in the United States, Canada and Europe at such venues as the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Yamaha Piano Salon, the International keyboard Institute and the New Paltz Piano Festival (New York), the Berklee School of Music (Boston) the Bartók Festival (Hungary), the Frugoni International Keyboard Festival (Italy), the Orford Academy of Music (Québec), and the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe (Hamburg). His Ohio performances include Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland, Kent State University, Baldwin-Wallace and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
