Emerald Alliance X 7609 Euclid
The historic Luther Allen mansion was recently demo'd by Mystic (?) - attempts to find out who pulled a permit with the City of Cleveland for the demo have been met with intentional cluelessness. 7609 Euclid recently transfered from the Cuyahoga County Land Bank to the Cleveland Housing Network. It is possible that the Cleveland Housing Network used Ohio Housing Finance Agency funds (federal monies) to demolish 7609 Euclid Ave. Folks may recall that OHFA was slapped by the federal government for not applying their Hardest Hit (TARP monies) to helping folks stay in their existing homes. Instead, OHFA's application for Hardest Hit funds were directed to demolitions.
This application resulted in a decreased funding of the OHFA agency.

WASHINGTON -- By pushing so hard for demolition money to tear down abandoned homes and fight neighborhood blight, Ohio lost a chance to help up to 15,000 struggling homeowners keep their houses, according to the state's own numbers.
