“More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws.”

More Guns, Less Crime“John Lott’s More Guns, Less Crime revives the wisdom of the past by using the latest tools of social science. By constructing careful statistical models and deploying a wealth of crime data he shows that laws permitting the carrying of concealed weapons actually lead to a drop in crime in the jurisdictions that enact them. . . . By providing strong empirical evidence that yet another liberal policy is a cause of the very evil it purports to cure, he has permanently changed the terms of debate on gun control. . . . Lott’s book could hardly be more timely. . . . Lott’s work is a model of the meticulous application of economics and statistics to law and policy.”

Hand Grenades too - what do you say Guy?

In a dark theater with smoke, not even Sophia could hit the mark.

That means the constitution allows hand grenades.  Of Course.   Totally defensive.

My choice for dark theaters is grenades.

Permanent solution to these type of problems.

more dogs less crime - sophia would have warned me what say jeff

"MORE DOGS - LESS CRIME" sophia would have warned me not to go in theater or danger zone - also stick to the point its guns not gernades - you can't win a arguement debate by using  another issue point - its obvious one can't buy a gernade over the counter legally - and even on the street its almost impossible - "society sets up the crime and the citizens commit the crimes" chinese proverb - me and sophia won the debate - you owe lunch - oh i forgot i owe you for hanging the murals on our fence - lets go shooting some time - cheers my unarmed friend

We need more powerful guns and weapons stuff to keep the peace

Let's all agree right now that high fire-power guns on everyone will make our public sphere more peaceful.   (I don't)

Then let's say that to make the public sphere really REALLY peaceful we need more powerful stuff.   MORE STUFF.   STRONGER killing power for MORE peace.

See where I am going?

If the thesis is that automatic weapons with huge clips carried by everyone decreases crime and makes our village more secure and peaceful, then clearly, CLEARLY, amplifying the firepower will make our communtity even safer, more peaceful, and serene.

And chemical weapons....we need to carry these as well.

If permits for non-concealed carry of mustard gas were just a visit to city hall, everyone would be safer.   What could be more appropriate than a high volume release of mustard gas to take down a shooter in a dark theater?

(Or maybe I am confused....maybe a Molitof Cocktail would be the appropriate response.  87 Octane does a cool job.)

Personally, I like mustard (though too much salt)

So

Let's all grow up, let's pull out all the stops, and get imaginative.

Weapons on all of us.  Weapons of every type and size.  Every color.  I like color.  Every power.  Big huge block size explosives, and little one's for the lady's purse.   POW!

WE CAN KEEP THE PEACE.   BLOW ME up!

That's the clear solution to peace and security.

On the other hand, a sophisticated nose like Sophia sniffing at the door....that's a good idea.

boys and toys..and superheroes

Another sad chapter in American history-the theater massacre in Colorado--already forgotten.  Warfare, fighting, guns...we need to change the way we socialize our kids.  Put a violin, a drum, a paintbrush in those hands at an early age to combat the "boredom" that leads to violence...I am tired of boys and their toys.  I started to really post at this site as a result of gun violence.

Just also considering how ironic it is--the appeal of superheroes at this time in history.  Superman was born here in NEO - Superman was a newspaper reporter -Superman didn't use a gun to wield power.  So ironic.
