Since 1975, the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) has been available to working class families in the U.S. It can increase household income by as much as $4,000 in certain cases. Yet an estimated 242,000 families in Ohio and about 48,000 in Cleveland do not claim their credits. This forum will explore the steps that our community can take to build on existing efforts to connect working families to the EITC.
