 On Monday, December 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., at the Carl B. Stokes Federal Courthouse, 801 West Superior Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio,  the Domestic Policy Subcommittee of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, will hold a field hearing entitled, “Examining Local Efforts to Address the Continuing Foreclosure Crisis: Perspectives from Cleveland, Ohio.”  The field hearing – which is Part II of a series of hearings intended to examine the local characteristics of the ongoing residential foreclosure crisis – will focus on how this crisis has impacted the Cleveland metropolitan area. The Subcommittee will hear testimony from individuals and organizations working in the Cleveland metropolitan area and statewide who are confronting the effects of the ongoing crisis, and will also evaluate the adequacy of the federal response to the foreclosure crisis.
