Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Robert J. Triozzi for Mayor of Cleveland?

Judge Triozzi Will Discuss His Candidacy in a Free Open Forum  at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law

 

Monday at Noon

 

Cleveland
Municipal Court Judge Robert J. Triozzi is considering adding his name
to the growing list of candidates hoping to unseat Cleveland Mayor Jane
Campbell this fall.  On Monday at noon, Judge
Triozzi, who has not yet announced his candidacy publicly, will discuss
his options during a program in the Moot Court Room of the law school.  Judge Triozzi is a guest of the law students’ Democratic Law Organization.  The entire university is invited.

 

According
to Keller Blackburn, president of the law students Democratic Law
Organization at Cleveland-Marshall, “Judge Triozzi has a commendable
record of public service.  We are interested in learning approach to solving some of the problems afflicting our city.�

 

A native of Ashtabula, Ohio, Robert Triozzi received his B.A. degree from Cornell University and earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University Law School.   Before winning a seat on the municipal bench in 1995, he served on the City of Cleveland’s Civil Service Commission and worked for a term as an aid in the US Congress.  He was re-elected to the Cleveland court without opposition in 2001.

 

Judge
Triozzi is active in numerous civic and community organizations. He is
a former trustee of the Cleveland Bar Association and presently the
co-chair of the bar association’s Education Initiative, which sponsors
the Cleveland Municipal Mock Trial Competition and a Citizenship
Tutoring Program for Cleveland high school students each year.  Judge
Triozzi was the recipient of the 2003 Justice for All Award given by
the Cleveland Bar Association for his volunteer service to the Cleveland community.
