When will pattern analysis search return genetic code?

Both of these images show organically produced fiber - and both the fiber in the donkey's fur and the fiber in the American white ash have extremely  similar wavey structure.

Is there a similar gene in the wood fiber and hair fiber which is associated with the wavy-ness?

What type of search engine would analyze images and return the genetics?

Why not?

Is this what Wolfram|Alpha is attempting to achieve?

Bottom image is a split piece of curly American white ash originally discussed  here on Realneo.
