Friends and supporters of Cleveland's new Sustainability Program are encouraged to attend a public hearing about the program held by the Utility Committee of City Council at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1. The hearing will be in the Council hearing room on the second floor of Cleveland City Hall, 601 Lakeside Ave.
Speakers will include Utility Committee Chair Matt Zone on the importance of sustainability strategies for Cleveland, Sustainability Programs manager Andrew Watterson on the many projects already underway to help the city save money while being more environmentally friendly, and EcoCity Cleveland Director David Beach on why sustainability is the language of the future for all great cities.
