WARD 14 Politics....the real statistic after the primary 2013....68% against Brian CumminsSubmitted by ANGELnWard14 on Wed, 09/11/2013 - 00:54.
Let me understand this......707 people voted against incumbant, Brian Cummins out of 1028....68.77% of the voters were against him...but he still won? I think it's time to really consider how you may have won the primary and potentially will win the General Election.........but Perhaps it is time to do the real math where the Voters spoke loudly. What is going wrong with your position in the Ward 14.... think about it Brian Cummins...Soul search about that math.....it says alot. You got the seat four years ago; immediately picked up where Santiago left off with allowing our funds to be steered out of our Ward...and then refused to engage the locals about your plans on how to spend those funds...but later outlined where those funds went.... Brian Kazy....you're in a pinch....now it's time to play ball. I watched several of those videos of the forums...and was digusted by your body language reactions to other candidate responses. I genuinely do not appreciate anyone vying to represent our citizens to act as such. So; now it's up to us to analyze what you will do differently after being CULTIVATED by the DETROIT SHOREWAY REGIME.........and that says enough for me to speak worlds.....I do not agree with countless unethical practices portrayed upon the public by that entire gammot......but then again.....what's new about it other than an entire populace being totally steered out of town by their development games. That really eats me up....and of course---I could rant for hours; but then again; you probably don't understand it enough at this stage to really appreciate the flip side of all your genuine work over the course of time.
So; Back to Cummins................if you recover from this and actually win in consideration of the fact that almost 70 percent of the voters were against you; I wonder how you intend to redress those stats.
Why do folks vote against you? What are you doing wrong? What are you missing? Have you become entrenched into the political regimes too much and lost touch with the common folks? Ward 14 Residents have engaged their leadership and continue to demand answers..........will you smoke and cover the reality of your decision making again in the future? We got change when you came into office..........first you changed the ward office telephone number...assuring immediate confusion to the lifelong residents of the ward. second; you ceased blogging on Realneo---openly---as you had before the election and win of 2009-probably because of the challenges you were engaged with among residents like those at that senior housing project on denison that ended up being poisioned by the epa type gases to date. Ah............it is all moot. we ask, demand, and get jerked around until it's too late to engage things. Doesn't matter which Brian you choose...they are both entrenched in old school politics...but I guess that leaves me only one option; to vote for Brian....lol Cleveland Council - Ward 14 Vote for Not More Than 1 (WITH 16 OF 16 PRECINCTS COUNTED) Nelson Cintron Jr. . . . . . . . 192 18.68 Brian Cummins . . . . . . . . . 321 31.23 Janet Garcia . . . . . . . . . 248 24.12 Brian Kazy . . . . . . . . . . 267 25.97 Over Votes . . . . . . . . . 1 Under Votes . . . . . . . . . 3

Sixty Eight Percent voted Against Winning Brian Cummins

Always Appreciative, "ANGELnWard14"
From Henry Senyak onFB
I strongly support Brian Kazy for Cleveland City Council Ward 14. I have known Brian for over 20 years. He is the right choice for Ward 14. He will work with residents and business owners to redevelop West 25th St. He will not be afraid like Councilman Cummins to rid once and for all the illegally operating strip clubs that bring crime into Ward 14. Councilman Cummins had his chance, he took the political way out to support the side effects of drugs and sex trades. He is called Kermit by his collegues. Most of the support for Councilman Cummins is tied around the funding of the SCFBC office. Brian Kazy once elected will make sure every CDBG dollars will be spent in the Ward versus paying for the bloated overhead at Detroit Shoreway who gets a big cut off the top of Ward 14 CDBG money. Brian Kazy will make sure that business will stay in the Ward, not be in China when Ward 14 lost its second largest employer in LJ Minor. LJ Minor expansion would have happened with or without Cummins. Fact is if it was not for me and Georgiann Franko, Cummins would of supported the strong arming tactics of LJ Minor to force the sale of over a dozen of properties that initial offers were 1/3 of the what was actully paid with the advocacy of the Lincoln Heights Block Club. I encourage you to not support politcs as usual in Ward 14. We deserve better development than Stink's Bait and Tackle, Rally's, Pager Stores, Urban Stores, nightclubs, Car shops, auto body shops, more take out liquor permits than when he took office. Vote to change this trend. Most Second District rank and file officers will tell you how they feel too with all the face mugging on Seymour Ave over the past months. Vote for Brian Kazy on September 10th.
