Mx Supplier Collaboration reduced Bendix's procurement costs by $200,000 in the first year!

Fuel injection systems manufacturer, Keihin IPT Mfg Inc. needed to extend their lean supply initiatives. The lean supply solution of choice for Keihin was Mx Supplier Collaboration. 

TS Trim Industries Inc., a tier one supplier to Honda worked to increase product velocity through the plant to better meet the demanding needs of their customer.  Thus, TS Trim committed to Lean Manufacturing and its practices.  "While the executive team at TS Trim knew that lean manufacturing would help the production process within the plant, they also knew that complete success would not be achieved without the implementation of lean supply practices with their suppliers.  It is for this reason that TS Trim decided to establish methods of providing demand visibility to its suppliers and request that the suppliers, in turn, provide shipping information."

Make note, Americans, Wal-Mart says it is all our fault that our manufacturing jobs have moved to China, as all we want is cheap stuff - "We are a seller of goods, not a producer of goods," (Wal Mart's) Wertz says. "Customers make the choice."

You've probably heard of RFID - radio frequency identification - and perhaps you use the technology in a smart ID or toll pass card, but starting in 2005 RFID will begin appearing in every American's life as Walmart uses this for inventory and then storefloor supply chain management and, as the NYTimes reports today, labels on drug bottles featuring RFID antennas will be used to protect pharmacies and you against counterfeit drugs.

People who complain there aren't leaders in Northeast Ohio fighting each day to improve our economy and quality of life are themselves ignorant and to blame for the problems in this community.
