LifeHacker [1] had a great posting showing a USDA resource to find farmer's markets all across the country.
Farmers markets provide a place to buy produce and other products that are locally grown. In many cases these foods are fresher because they haven't traveled hundreds, if not thousands of miles, to reach your dinner table.
I'm relatively new to this phenomenon but my favorite market is the one at Shaker Square on Saturdays. The listing for this market from the link above is as follows:
North Union Farmers Market
Shaker Square
Cleveland, OH
Contact: Donita Anderson
(216) 751-7656
SEASONAL
Saturday, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon
What's your favorite Farmers Market?
