Arabella Proffer is a Cleveland based painter and illustrator. Her loose narrative themes and interests revolve around a fascination with fashion; aristocrats; vapid socialites; eastern European cultures and rock n’ roll lifestyles. A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, she attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA before receiving a BFA from California Institute of the Arts where she studied art, animation and film. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Los Angeles, Laguna Beach, Boston, Austin, San Diego, Cleveland, London, and Moscow.

This small exhibition at the Slavic Village Development Center gallery highlights some select pieces of figurative and semi-narrative works; touching on subjects ranging from fashion to post-soviet life.
