[1] The Cleveland Division of Fire is actively recruiting individuals interested in a career in public safety. Applications for the position of Firefighter are expected to be available in 2014, however, interested candidates are encouraged to submit their information now to be sure they are notified of dates and times for applying. Applicants must obtain and submit their application during the designated filing period and then pass a Civil Service Entrance Exam.
The new generation of Cleveland Firefighters will be trained in fire, rescue and emergency medical service as the City of Cleveland works to integrate the Divisions of Fire and EMS.
