For my friends who like to encourage kids to wear hoods as a symbol of miscarriage of justice...for Trayvon Martin...you only encourage the mentality that lionizes criminal enterprise...banks, stores, fast food restaurants know that real customers will flee when they see a gang of young men (or women) walk in with hoods pulled over their heads - what does it take for our society to realize it's much easier to say to someone -put your hood down before entering a public building?? The young hardened criminal in this photo didn't have to turn out the way he did - now facing a life of incarceration...maybe someone should have stopped his anger during his teenage years...maybe someone should have encouraged him to find his talents...instead of encouraging his hatred and anger. We let teens feed off of the intimidation they use to feel empowered...say something.
